Rafter Bracket

Our rafter brackets are attached to the side of a roof rafter using 6-1-1/2” long SDS screws. We recommend one bracket per post although their capabilities are greater depending on the cover being built. See span charts for details. This bracket will set the bottom of your beam at the same height as the bottom of the fascia board allowing for the existing rain gutter to remain in place. The standard throat size is 7” this allows it to fit nicely around a standard 5” gutter, making a seamless installation of either a solid roof or lattice cover.

We recommend back-filling all penetrations as well as the bottom or the bracket with a proper sealant.
